Contrary to the media's obsession with how women can lose weight, there are women out there who struggling to gain weight. Being super thin is no longer seen as being attractive or fitting with the evolving role of women in society. A well rounded, firm, lean woman conveys a better sense of stability and overall desirability as an independent strong force to be reckoned with, and men love a woman who conveys self-confidence and strength. Therefore, woman who have unusually high metabolism or other health conditions often feel lost or confused when trying to put on a few extra pounds.
This often leads them down the path of gaining weight in an unhealthy way. Eating the wrong type of fatty foods cause woman to gain weight around their middles and the weight gain is all unhealthy fatty weight that can cause heart and other related health problems. This aside, being skinny everywhere but the waist is not a desirable or attractive figure to have. For women who need to gain weight there are better methods to employ that revolve around proper exercise and a healthy diet.
First off, eating well balanced diets a day approximately 2-3 hours a day that adds a total of an extra 500 calories a day to their normal diet is a great place to start. Eating smaller meals frequently gives the body time to digest and process food so that weight is distributed equally. When planning these meals, women should keep in mind they need a good balance of carbohydrates, protein, and the healthy fats, or foods that are high in amino acids such as flax, olive oil, walnuts, and fish. Fish is actually a great weight building food as it has both high levels of omega three acids and is an excellent source of protein.
Once the healthy weight diet is developed, women can help add weight and definition to their bodies by adding weight training to their exercise routines. Weight training routines are also known as muscle building exercises that are targeted at the fat in one's body into heavier defined muscle. Free weight routines are a great way to strengthen muscles as home as well as avoid letting the extra calories in the diet turn into fat around the waist instead of the well-toned muscles needed to create a curvy sexual body.
Last, since woman have to fight an uphill battle in obtaining muscle mass as compared to men, some diet supplements are helpful in aiding their bodies in the creation of muscle mass. For example, taking creatine, a muscle building weight supplement is a great start. Also, adding why protein to your diet helps give your body the fuel it needs from protein to look its best and develop lean firm muscle mass instead of flabby fat. Although it may appear harder for a woman to gain weight in a healthy muscular fashion, it is possible without ruining one's health and figure. Remember, the body that a woman is trying to obtain is a defined body, not just a fat body
