The Perfect New Year's Eve Ensemble

New Year's Eve is one of the very few times of the year when we actually get the chance to dress up and go party without some sort of nagging guilt ruining the evening. This means you've got to take advantage of the occasion and go all out with your ensemble. Follow my tips and you're sure to be looking hot this New Year's Eve.
Dress Weather Appropriate
Have you ever seen those poor girls trouncing around and freezing their butts off in a miniskirt and sleeveless top smoking a cigarette in the dead of winter? You know they're miserable and frankly regretful. So don't be a fool this year. Yes lots of visible skin will make you look hot, but at least cover up with a heavy fur jacket, mittens and a thick scarf.
Wear Sky-High Heals
Assuming you've had some practice, wearing tall heels on New Year's Eve is always must-do. In fact, the higher, the better. How many chances to you get to wear 5-inch heels in your normal everyday life? It's rare so take advantage of the opportunity; just make sure that you're confident in your walking abilities. Tripping over a bar stool and chipping your tooth will certainly put a damper on the evening festivities.
Wear Tasteful Makeup
The venue in which you celebrate the New Year is likely to be dim and smoky, but that isn't an excuse to look like a clown. A good rule of thumb is to either go all out with your lips or with your eyes, but never both. If you really want to wear some bright red lipstick, then you can wear a pound of black eyeliner. Keep it classy ladies.
Don't Forget Accessories
Accessories are key to topping off the perfect ensemble; in fact they may just make the ensemble. But remember not to overdue it. In the words of Coco Chanel: "When accessorizing, always take off the last thing you put on."
Be smart, safe and stylish this New Year's Eve, this means that you shouldn't be tripping over bar stools and tearing your beautiful dress. Be classy.
